The coalition was birthed after an International conference organized by the Civil Resource Development and Documentation Center (CIRDDOC) NIG and the Coalition of Eastern NGOs (CENGOS) at the National Assembly in 2003, which had in attendance Senators, Honorable members, representatives of NGOs as well as experts from USA, Brazil, Uganda, Tanzania and South Africa, which are countries where Affirmative Action has been very successful.
